Eyebrow and Eylash Enhancements

Eyebrow and Eyelash Tinting will enhance the appearance of your eyes for around 3 to 8 weeks respectively, depending on your skincare and cleansing routine and exposure to the sun. The effect can be very natural, and not only women, but also men with fair lashes and brows can benefit from a natural coloured tint. It is particularly useful for sportspersons, especially swimmers, or those who live in a hot climate; it saves time making up, avoids the risk of mascara fibres irritating contact lens wearers and eliminates ‘panda eyes’! Women who have a sensitivity to many cosmetics may also benefit. A range of colours is available; light brown, dark brown, grey, black, even blue; allowing you to choose a natural or a striking look. It is a quick and painless procedure which uses a vegetable dye to tint your lashes and/or brows. After cleansing the area, and protecting your skin with an impermeable gel and cotton pads, your tint is brushed on. Eyebrows only take a couple of minutes, but eyelashes take longer to fix the dye – about 10 to 15 minutes; then damp cotton cleanses the dye from the hairs and you are left with superbly defined lashes and brows. A free patch test is necessary 24 to 48 hours prior to tinting to ensure you have no sensitivity or allergy to the product, even if you have had your lashes tinted successfully elsewhere before. A small dab of the dye products (colourants and accelerator) is put unobtrusively behind your ear, and we ask you to monitor whether you develop any reaction to it. Eyelash Perming is a semi-permanent method of curling your eyelashes which lasts the lifespan of your lash - around 8 weeks. Perming your eyelashes enhances your appearance as it ‘opens’ up your eyes making them seem larger, and we can improve on this effect by applying a tint after the perming procedure should you wish. Using a tiny roller and water-soluble glue, your lashes are rolled and separated. Perming lotion is then applied to the lashes and left for 15 minutes, then a neutraliser is left for a further 15 minutes under cover. Finally, damp cotton wool is used to gently remove the roller, leaving you with beautifully enhanced curled eyelashes. A free patch test is necessary 24 to 48 hours prior to perming to ensure you have no sensitivity or allergy to the products, even if you have had your lashes permed successfully elsewhere before. A small dab of each product (glue, perming lotion and neutralizer) is put unobtrusively behind your ear, and we ask you to monitor whether you develop any reaction. If you wish your brows or lashes to be tinted as well, we will also patch test for the tint behind your other ear.
